    Proposed results:

    (a) Research project proposals

Levering leverage joint research activities EU Green Call – at least 3 proposals to be submitted (Jennie Jackson - occupational health; Ileana Ramazzina - "Protein misfolding and aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases: an integrated approach of bioinformatics and biochemistry towards the use of natural compounds as novel therapeutic strategies and Guillermo Gervasini – “Genetic evolution of fungal pathogens in transplant recipients”)

Joint application of a Horizon project on mental health or a combination of mental health and nutrition. Discussions in Gavle with the expert in European funds suggested a better line to apply on the call “Improving mental health outcomes for people in education, training and work (research and innovation action)”

    (b) Education/ development proposals

    • Erasmus joint measures - master on sport – will reaply for funding. Postponed for 2025-2026.
    • Joint PhD on nursing – initial submission to EU Green bodies, will re-apply next year.
    • MOOC – nutrition education for health professionals  will be carried out with Eramus funding.
    • BIP on nutrition – in 2026, as a follow up of the MOOC.
    • BIP on health systems and organization

    (c) Other

    • Erasmus partnership for cooperation - EU Green toolkit for teachers how to deal students with mild mental health challenges.
    • organization of conferences or workshops on specific topics of Cluster1
      • proposal from Mariana Muresan on The implication of oxidative stress and pro-inflammatory factors in nutritional therapy
      • the group of nano-medicine discussed this opportunity, no decision was yet taken.
    • Organize a face-to-face meeting of cluster 1, especially to develop applications for projects.
